Some skirts are beautiful. This one is alive — and built differently.
The Midi Hemp Skirt is the same silhouette as our French linen version — A-line, high waist, full button-front closure with organic coconut buttons — in an entirely different material with an entirely different story. This hemp is grown in Ukraine and woven in Romania, part of a supply chain De IONESCU has been building for over five years. Heavier and more structured than the linen version, with a natural texture that makes the oatmeal tone look like it predates colour itself.
In natural, this is the hemp at its most honest — the colour of the fibre before anyone intervened. Warm, earthy and entirely itself. The kind of neutral that doesn't try to match everything because it already does. The midi length works with flat sandals in the afternoon and low heels when the evening calls for it. The hemp gets softer and more characterful with every single wash.
We are De IONESCU — a small fashion house from Romania with our own atelier in Transylvania. Every piece is cut, sewn, and finished by hand. No outsourcing. No mass production. Just the ladies in our workshop, humming along to Europa FM while discussing recipes and their kids' summer holidays. Made in Europe. Properly.
Every pattern piece is cut individually by Mrs. Elena. Mrs. Dana and Mrs. Corina do the sewing. Every finishing detail is handled by Mrs. Mihaela. Mrs. Ana inspects and packs every single piece before it ships. Quality control, some call it. We call it Mrs. Ana.
This is not a production line. It is closer to a ritual.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
- Machine wash at 30°C, low spin speed
- Do not bleach
