A suit that takes itself seriously without taking itself too seriously. That's the Figa.
Two pieces. One decision. A V-neck waistcoat with four coconut buttons and a full cotton lining, paired with matching high waist trousers — single forward pleat, straight leg, side pockets, back zip. Cut from 160 gsm French linen — flax grown in France, woven and finished in Spain.
In black, the Figa Set is essential and completely timeless. Black linen has a depth and texture that black cotton or synthetic fabric never achieves — it moves differently, breathes better, and drapes with an elegance that is entirely about the material. The coconut buttons add a quiet natural warmth against the dark ground. The kind of suit that works at a meeting, a wedding, a funeral and a dinner party — sometimes on the same day, without changing.
Every pattern piece is cut individually by Mrs. Elena. Mrs. Dana and Mrs. Corina do the sewing — between them, nothing gets rushed and nothing gets missed. Every finishing detail is handled by Mrs. Mihaela, because finishing is where most garments give up and this one doesn't. Mrs. Ana inspects and packs every single piece before it ships. Quality control, some call it. We call it Mrs. Ana.
This is not a production line. It is closer to a ritual.
We are De IONESCU — a small fashion house from Romania with our own atelier in Transylvania. Every piece is cut, sewn, and finished by hand. No outsourcing. No mass production. Just the ladies in our workshop, humming along to Europa FM while discussing recipes and their kids' summer holidays. Made in Europe. Properly.
